Aegina

AEGINA is one of the beautiful Saronic islands of Greece situated 17 miles from Athens and a perfect holiday destination. Hydrofoil ferry from Piraeus takes only 40 minutes to reach Aegina. Besides picture perfect beaches and stunning sunsets, Aegina is full of landmark sites, including the Temple of Aphaea, the Monastery of Agios Nectarios, the Temple of Zeus Hallamos.

Whilst here, enjoy swimming, sightseeing, sailing, cycling, walking, watersports, boat trips to other nearby islands. Wine and dine in small coastal villages of Aghia Marina, Vagia, Souvala, Perdika and the main port of Aegina Town with its crescent shaped harbour. In Aegina harbour drink a glass of ouzo, accompanied by mezedes or world renowned pistachios, whilst sitting harbour side watching the luxury yachts bobbing feet from your table and watch the world go by. Aegina has escaped the over commercialisation of other islands and retains sophisticated charm and warm hospitality.

Aegina is reputed to have the mildest climate in Greece so even in the height of summer the weather here is perfectly balanced with cool breezes.
